I don't have a broadband connection, can I still use Migr8?
Yes, the speed of your internet connection should not affect the performance of Migr8. A
broadband connection is desirable though as it will allow you to synchronize without
dialing up first and transfers will be quicker.
Can I connect to Migr8 through a proxy server?
Yes, Migr8 supports proxy servers.
From what devices can I connect to Migr8?
Almost any device with an Internet connection. For example, WAP Phone, Handheld PC, PDA
etc. The service is limited only to the devices limitations. Just go to 'Migr8.com' with your desired device and login!
Can I get to Migr8 from abroad?
Anywhere, if there is an internet connection, you can access your Migr8 information. The
Migr8 service is worldwide meaning that we support connections from anywhere in the
world.
Is it possible to give my clients/customers access to my Migr8 information?
Yes, using our content management system you can have a public access table that allows people to follow a link to Migr8 and
view your information. Your website can be powered by Migr8 to include your latest
information, and it is simple to set up!
In addition to this you can connect to an XML feed of your data.
Why do I have to download the Migr8 application?
The Migr8 application should be installed onto a PC that can access the data you want to
Migr8 and an Internet connection. This application will then assist you syncronizing the
data with Migr8, setting up tables etc.
I want to trial Migr8 before I purchase, will my data be lost when I upgrade?
No, the account you set up for your trial will be upgraded including all of the
information you have synchronized. You can continue as normal with the upgraded account.
Is there a limit to how many users I can have on my account?
Accounts have unlimited user capabilities, including groups. Groups allow you to specify which users have access to what information. For example, the sales department do not need to access the personnel department's information.
Is my data secure on the Migr8 network?
Yes, we encrypt all information sent to the Migr8 network. We also use a secure
algorithm that stops any intruders from uploading data into your Migr8 account. Access to information is through individual user accounts that allow security within your organisation as well as from the outside.
How long will it take to setup Migr8?
Instant. As soon as you register and make any necessary payments, you are set up to
install the Migr8 application and start using Migr8. Setting up is simple, the Migr8 application will guide you through your first sync.
What will happen if my data exceeds the account's limit?
If your data exceeds the account's limit then transfer will stop at this point. A message
telling you to upgrade to a larger account will be displayed. You can either upgrade your account for more space, or delete some existing data.
What data can I upload to Migr8?
The main use of Migr8 is to upload database table contents. Migr8 supports most database formats including Microsoft Access and FoxPro.
In addition to database data you can also access information in suitably formated text files, HTML and spreadsheets. You can even pick up your email from your account.

What e-mail functionality does Migr8 have?
From your Migr8 account you are able to view your current POP3 E-Mail account. Set up is easy, log into your account using your PC or Mac and click on Preferences.
